We aim to ensure that all employees are paid a fair salary for their role and we operate within nationally benchmarked pay scales.
We have a generous holiday provision with new employees starting on 25 days per annum, in addition to the 8 (usually) Bank Holidays, rising to 30 days after five years continuous service. Pro-rata entitlements are calculated for any employee working less than 37 hours per week.
The holiday year runs from 1st April – 31st March.
Staff also have the opportunity to purchase extra holidays/sell back holidays, details of how your can apply are given in the annual leave policy.
The standard working week is 37 hours per week and flexi time is available to all employees with the exception of those whose duties are such to prevent them from participating.

As part of the induction process all new employees meet with the Chief Executive, the Finance Director and other key members of staff.
Throughout the six month probationary period, new employees are gradually introduced to their responsibilities and their line manager is available for clarification of any matters as required.
There are regular reviews; at week one, week four and at three months and six months; and throughout new employees are encouraged to identify any support or development requirements during this period.

V2C are committed to the health and wellbeing of our staff and have been awarded the Gold Corporate Health Standard. The Corporate Health Standard is the national mark of quality for health and well-being in the workplace.
V2C has established a working group to manage health and well-being within the organisation and this covers tobacco, mental health promotion, musculoskeletal disorders, alcohol and substance misuse, nutrition, physical activity and general health issues.
We also undertake specific health promotion days where staff are invited to take part in various health initiatives. We regularly promote general health issues to raise staff awareness. V2C has a contracted occupational health provider, who supports the health and well-being process.
In addition, staff can join the Westfield Health Care Plan which offers a wide variety of supported plans for employees which deliver cash back e.g. Dental care and Counselling support to name a few. Another added extra of the plan is the opportunity to get money off vouchers for many well-known shopping outlets to use in stores or on line.
The basic package, the cost of which is met by V2C, is for the individual employee but they can update their cover and add their immediate family members at an additional cost to themselves if they wish. Details of the plan are given to the employee at the time of their induction to V2C.
