We aim to ensure that all employees are paid a fair salary for their role and we operate within nationally benchmarked pay scales.








We have a generous holiday provision with new employees starting on 25 days per annum, in addition to the 8 (usually) Bank Holidays, rising to 30 days after five years continuous service. Pro-rata entitlements are calculated for any employee working less than 37 hours per week.


The holiday year runs from 1st April – 31st March.


Staff also have the opportunity to purchase extra holidays/sell back holidays, details of how your can apply are given in the annual leave policy.



Hours of work/ flexi time




The standard working week is 37 hours per week and flexi time is available to all employees with the exception of those whose duties are such to prevent them from participating.





Learning & Development




We operate an annual performance development review which aims to drive high performance and enhance skills and knowledge.


V2C is highly committed to the development of our employees and offers a variety of training and development opportunities internally and externally.


All development is linked to the business needs of the organisation and the personal development of individuals to meet these needs. 

Car parking




All employees are provided with car parking facilities, if required and are subsequently asked to pay a subsidised charge which will be deducted from their monthly salary (if this is to be applied).





V2C operate a SHPS CARE Pension Scheme. Further details are provided when you join the company


Induction/ Probation



As part of the induction process all new employees meet with the Chief Executive, the Finance Director and other key members of staff.


Throughout the six month probationary period, new employees are gradually introduced to their responsibilities and their line manager is available for clarification of any matters as required.


There are regular reviews; at week one, week four and at three months and six months; and throughout new employees are encouraged to identify any support or development requirements during this period.


Health & Safety





V2C recognises its duty to take all reasonable steps to prevent, control or guard against risks in the workplace and their possible effects.


All V2C employees have an obligation to ensure that they act in a responsible manner and that they do not indulge in unsafe work practices. 


Salary Sacrifice Schemes



We offer employees the opportunity to hire cycles and/ or Mobile/ IT equipment on a salary sacrifice basis.





Online Retirement planning



This service allows our employees an opportunity to review topics about retirement in their own time and with their partners or family as well, using a computer, tablet or smartphone. The service is free for all employees no matter what their age. It is a professional package that you can dip in and out of at your leisure. It’s life planning information and advice from 14 experts and hosted by a professional presenter.


Sick Pay


We offer an occupational sick pay scheme with a sliding scale of entitlement based on length of service.


Family friendly leave



We offer a range of family friendly policies including enhanced maternity and paternity pay and statutory parental leave.


We also offer a range of special leave options including time off for dependents and family related leave.


Flexible working opportunities are available in most areas of the organisation; this does, however, have to be in line with the department still being able to meet its business needs for the organisation.

We encourage staff to study for job related professional qualifications. 


We also pay for one professional subscription related to your role.  




Staff sports & social committee




Based on feedback from employees, a staff sports and social committee has recently been formed.


This group discuss and organise activities and events for staff to attend outside of work as well as charity days and fun activities at work to celebrate particular events.





Eye care




We pay for employees to have their eyes tested, we also contribute towards glasses for VDU use if they are required.


Staff Perks & Healthcare

Staff Health & Wellbeing

V2C are committed to the health and wellbeing of our staff and have been awarded the Gold Corporate Health Standard. The Corporate Health Standard is the national mark of quality for health and well-being in the workplace.


V2C has established a working group to manage health and well-being within the organisation and this covers tobacco, mental health promotion, musculoskeletal disorders, alcohol and substance misuse, nutrition, physical activity and general health issues.


We also undertake specific health promotion days where staff are invited to take part in various health initiatives. We regularly promote general health issues to raise staff awareness. V2C has a contracted occupational health provider, who supports the health and well-being process.


In addition, staff can join the Westfield Health Care Plan which offers a wide variety of supported plans for employees which deliver cash back e.g. Dental care and Counselling support to name a few. Another added extra of the plan is the opportunity to get money off vouchers for many well-known shopping outlets to use in stores or on line.


The basic package, the cost of which is met by V2C, is for the individual employee but they can update their cover and add their immediate family members at an additional cost to themselves if they wish. Details of the plan are given to the employee at the time of their induction to V2C.
