Careers

We truly recognise that our greatest strength is the people we employ.

Our colleagues are the face of Valleys to Coast and set the tone and focus for our customer experience. By creating a workplace that offers encouragement, development and fun we hope that colleagues will be inspired to play to their strengths and bring their best self to work every day.

Our values are our fundamental beliefs as an organisation. They are the guiding principles for how all of our colleagues should behave and act. They flow through every part of our organisation and are what makes us special.

Our Benefits

Flexible Working Arrangements

We value people and want to empower you to work where, when and how you choose – with maximum flexibility and minimum constraints. This will help you optimise your performance and deliver great value and customer service.

Our aim is to create a more responsive, efficient and effective organisation that improves business performance and increases customer satisfaction and hope our flexible working arrangements will help you achieve this.

Generous Pension Contribution

We recognise it is important to save money for later in life and by saving a little of your income regularly during your working life so you have an income if you choose to work less or retire.

To support this we offer a generous contribution to your pension by offering a scheme where if you pay in 4% of your salary, we also pay in 6%. If you increase your contribution to 5%, we will increase our contribution to 8%.

Annual Leave

We know how important it is that colleagues take regular breaks from work so they can rest and re-energise. You can enjoy a generous annual leave allowance, paid for by us.

You’ll receive a minimum of 25 holiday days each year, plus extra days annual leave each year you are with us up to 5 years. You’ll also receive the 8 days bank/public holidays.

What is it like to work in the world of housing?

If you ask anyone who works in housing about what it’s like to work here the majority of the answers will say definitely the people and how rewarding it is. As an independent organisation, we occupy a unique position whereby we can combine our drivers of social purpose with delivering efficient business operations.

Don’t just take our word for it though, we are part of a wider campaign called ‘This is Housing’ where we showcase what the sector is really like and what career opportunities are available.
