Tenant Engagement

V2C is committed to involving tenants and residents in its work to develop services and improve neighbourhoods.

It is important to view our services through our customer’s eyes to make improvements, increase accountability and improve the quality of life of tenants and residents living in those communities where we have homes.

We understand that having a nice place to live is not just about your home but about the community, environment and local services available. To improve these we want to work in partnership with tenants and residents.

Tenant and resident participation is a two way process involving the sharing of information and ideas, where customers are able to influence decisions and take part in shaping and improving services and the local community.

Why should you get involved?

It gives you a say in both the housing service and issues effecting your local community
It can help us make better decisions by taking into account your views and opinions
You will have a greater awareness of what’s happening in your community
It creates better communication between tenants, residents and V2C staff
You can learn new skills and have access to training opportunities
It can be fun. It’s a good way of meeting new people in your community
You can be part of achieving improvements that affect individuals, the whole community and all V2C tenants

We recognise that everyone’s lives are different and that not everyone can sit on the Board or wish to attend a meeting, but all views and ideas are important to us in our work.

To learn more about the range of ways you can become involved and have your say click on the Getting Involved leaflet.

V2C will support you to get involved by helping with travel and child care expenses, postage for returning questionnaires, arranging training, with producing leaflets and incentives to thank you for your time.
