Senior Officer
I have been employed by V2C since the company was founded in September 2003. My first position within the company was a Works Assessor but I have now progressed to Senior Officer within the repairs department. Excellent personal development and training opportunities have provided me with the knowledge and key skills for the future.
All staff are valued and encouraged to contribute towards improving working practices. All offices have recently been refurbished to a high standard and have the latest technology available which enables me to carry out my duties efficiently in a pleasant environment, also flexible working hours means that planning events outside of work is made easier.
All in all V2C is a very forward thinking, progressive, customer and staff oriented organisation.
Financial Inclusion Officer
I’ve been employed as V2C’s Financial Inclusion Officer since July 2008. My post was newly created in order to improve the access to financial advice and services available to our tenants and residents, and this sort of progressive and customer-focused attitude is typical of V2C’s innovative approach to service delivery.
My experience of V2C has been very positive from interview stage, through the comprehensive induction process and into post. All staff are valued and supported by the organisation to develop a can-do attitude towards their work.
This is underpinned by investment in training and development and a comfortable working environment ensuring that staff are highly motivated. There’s also a first class team spirit across the organisation so you feel at home on day one - everyone is approachable from Chief Executive down.

Finance Officer
I was made redundant suddenly in the summer of 2004 and knew in my mind the type of Company I now wanted to join. I made the decision firm in my mind that I would not take just any position that was offered to me. I was very fortunate that a post was advertised with Valleys to Coast and shortly after I applied. I knew some things about the organisation following the press coverage prior to the take over. I felt this was the ideal opportunity to join a new and exciting organisation.
I was very fortunate that Valleys to Coast felt that I suited the position and I joined in September 2004 and can honestly say since then I have never looked back. The induction programme that we have in place is also a great benefit to any individual that joins as this incorporates you spending time with other Departments so you feel not only part of your team but that of the wider team.

Clerical Assistant - Helpdesk
I have been working at V2C for just over a year. I started in a temporary position on the Repairs helpdesk as a clerical assistant. After 8 months I was made a permanent member of staff.
Before I started working at V2C I studied a HND in travel Management and had only taken on the temporary position while looking for a job in the travel industry but I enjoyed my time at V2C so much that I have totally changed my career path and am now looking to a career in the Housing Sector. Since being a made a permanent member of staff the company has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge by doing an NVQ course in Business Admin and I’m also taking welsh at evening classes organised in house by V2C.
Not only is the job interesting and challenging but I have found the working environment throughout V2C is great and everyone is a pleasure to work with.
