Annual Servicing

As part of its programme for continuous improvement, the Housing Repairs Service of V2C provides essential servicing and maintenance works to solid fuel and gas appliances within V2C owned homes throughout the Borough. We also service mains operated smoke alarms every year.

Warning about Annual ServicingThere are a number of regulations that place duties on Landlords to ensure that heating appliances and flue systems owned by them are in a safe condition. There are potentially serious health & safety implications if this work is not completed. The servicing and maintenance works undertaken by the Housing Repairs Service is therefore extremely important.

The work carried out includes essential servicing of the appliance and, in the case of a solid fuel appliance, a sweep of the chimney twice a year. All works are undertaken by fully trained and qualified engineers.

THIS SERVICE IS IMPORTANT!

If you are uncertain whether your heating appliance has been serviced recently, or that your chimney has been swept, or would like any further information then please contact the Housing Repairs Service on: (01656) 727999. It is essential that you provide access to your home for this work to be carried out by V2C or our subcontractors. It is essential for your health and safety and that of your neighbours.
