Pay
We aim to ensure that all employees are paid a fair salary for their role and we operate within nationally agreed pay scales. Salaries are paid by BACS transfer on the 18th of each month.
Holidays
We have a generous holiday provision with new employees starting on 25 days per annum in addition to the 8 Bank Holiday, rising to 30 days after five years continuous service. Pro-rata entitlements are calculated for any employee working less than 37 hours per week. The holiday year runs from 1st April – 31st March.
Pensions
V2C has adopted a retirement age of 65 for all its employees. We operate a final salary Pension Scheme - The Social Housing Pension Scheme. Further details are provided upon joining.
Hours of work / flexi time
The standard working week is 37 hours per week and flexi time is available to all employees with the exception of those whose duties are such to prevent them from participating.
Induction
Throughout the first three months, new employees are gradually introduced to his/her responsibilities and the line manager is available for clarification of any matters as required. All new employees meet with the Chief Executive and in addition the Finance Director, if relevant. There are regular reviews at one week, six weeks and at the end of the third month and throughout new employees are encouraged to identify any support or development requirements.
Probationary Period
New employees are subject to a probationary period of up to six months. Regular reviews are carried out throughout this period.
Car Parking
All employees are provided with car parking facilities for which you may be requested to pay a subsidised amount from your monthly salary.
Family Friendly Leave
We offer a range of family friendly policies including enhanced maternity and paternity pay and statutory parental leave. We also offer a range of special leave options including time off for dependents and family related leave.
Learning and Development
We operate an annual performance development review which aims to drive high performance and enhance skills and knowledge. V2C is highly committed to the development of our employees and offer a variety of training and development opportunities.
Sick Pay
We offer an occupational sick pay scheme with a sliding scale of entitlement based on length of service.
Health and Safety
V2C recognises its duty to take all reasonable steps to prevent, control or guard against risks in the workplace and their possible effects. All V2C employees have an obligation to ensure that they act in a responsible manner and that they do not indulge in unsafe work practices.
