About Us
V2C is the first housing association in Wales to be established as a result of a large scale voluntary transfer (LSVT) by a local authority. The transfer from Bridgend County Borough Council to V2C took place in September 2003. We currently provide improvement, repair and management services to over 6,000 rented homes. Additionally, we provide services to over 750 leaseholders and manage a portfolio of commercial premises. With some 220 staff, customer, corporate management, personnel, finance and IT services are based in central Bridgend. Staff concerned with the provision of housing repair and improvement services operate from a depot in Bryncethin just off junction 36 of the M4.
V2C’s governing body and Board of Management consists of elected tenant and independent members in addition to nominees from the local authority. We are a not-for-profit organisation.
We want to ensure our housing service is visible, effectively engaged with our customers and the communities in which we work but ultimately focused on the delivery of lasting improvements. In partnership with others, we want our homes and the neighbourhoods surrounding them to be places where people choose to live, work and stay.
